I am not gonna analyze the details of the storyline of the final season. If you have seen the last season, you already know that the setup was so dull that there was hardly any way to finish it with a bang, which they tried almost literally and failed miserably, and they could not make an impact. I doubt anybody was on the edge of his/her seat during this episode. The only emotional scene of it actually raised the question 'how long does it take a bitten person to turn, again?' instead of raising any emotion.

The only thing that the loyal fans had to be excited about was the return of the characters who left the show abruptly. Unfortunately, the only thing the fans got was some scenes that were actually used as promotional clips for their spin-off shows. That's basically it. The finale offered no real resolution, no explanation, and no proper ending for anything or for any character.

In the end, I could not help but feel cheated by the showrunners and I realized the 180 hours of my life, spent behind this show, went straight down the drain.

I had a high expectation from Dipankar Dipon after watching Dhaka Attack. Mr. Dipon did not disappoint, and delivered spectacularly with Operation Sundarbans.

THE GOOD THINGS:

• Cinematography was wonderful. It was world class in many scenes. There are some shots which were pure pleasure for the eyes.

• Acting was good. I wouldn't say it was top notch, but the actors did a pretty good job.

• Direction was very good except for a couple of scenes. The fight sequences were good too.

• Editing and color correction was standard. The CGI scenes were done expertly. No complain there.

What could be better?

• Story and the screenplay. It was a linear story. The antagonists can be identified way before the movie ends, so the twists don't really work in most cases.

• Dialogues have a lot of room for improvement. Except for "You are very kind. Love is blind." That line was hilarious.

• Some of the characters were given the time to develop, but then were left abruptly in the 3rd act. It was confusing, as they had almost no impact on the whole story. This also means, this movie could have been shortened by 15-25 minutes without compromising the story.

• The songs were beautiful, no doubt. Still, the romantic ones were unnecessary. Especially, Siyam and Faria's song. It was shot and color graded amazingly, though.

Verdict:

I haven't heard that much buzz about this one after its release. This tells me this movie is underrated, because, this is a beautifully shot and well-directed movie with a decent story. I will recommend everybody to watch this. Mr. Dipon made sure that his audiences would be entertained. I am already looking forward to his next project.
