Had a weekend to myself and watched season 1 and 2
This prequel works well and I'm not a fan of prequels First mentioned in The Cage, the USS Enterprise is led by Captain Pike and a great crew. It has a huge history to dip into, it's not afraid to experiment with format and style.
The cast are superb and the writing is strong
Ok, it's got the same style but naturally updated to the 21st century and it's consistent with what was around originally....... you can't realistically have the 60s set in 2024 I'm happy with this, it's great even if the basement dwelling incels have their ongoing issues I would appreciate, as would most of fandom, if there were more than 10 episodes per season.
There are wonderful writers out there so put them to proper use and exploit their genius
Dear creators....... 15 episodes of SNW and the future is secure
And, you're doing a fantastic job with this.

A traditional Alien film must contain certain things. As the most recent entry, reflection on previous submissions is not compulsory or necessary....... but nice.
Loads of action and plot twists and devices are necessary, a good range of characters ....... yes, they're all here.
But like all entry throughout the A/P franchises, it must also add something
So...... this film delivers on all levels listed and is a worthy addition to the franchises. No spoilers, but fans will punch the air at several times during this
Will I go again ?
Yes Will I enjoy it ?
Yes
Another review refers to this as the Rogue One of the franchise....... it's not wrong, and its certainly no "Solo"
A definite 8/10.

I've been a fan of David McCallum since Colditz, The Invisible Man and Sapphire And Steel so when I saw he was in this, it was compulsive viewing.
So 20 years later, still there, still viewing
It was well written and performed by all involved and many of the cast have admitted it was difficult.
I loved the wee touches....... the Mallard train was introduced and was on view
Wee things like this gave the personal touch to the series, giving the characters that extra dimension that quite often lacks
All in all, a fitting epitaph for a long term, and very well loved character We'll miss him He was the kind of person we'd love to know and work with
RIP David McCallum, brilliant in everything he ever did.
