I genuinely hated this episode. Sure, we got a couple good lip syncs out of it, but it became very clear early on into the episode that a certain someone was going to win. Like, very obvious even down to that fake ass bracket, which I don't believe even accurately reflected the queens' rankings. No hate to the queen who won, but it is so incredibly unsatisfying to watch a mediocre lip syncer win a lip sync tournament. Not to mention that if it's painfully obvious that everything has been arranged for a certain outcome, it takes all of the fun out of watching. I mean, the "winner" was clearly outperformed during her first lip sync, and the bracket was carefully crafted so that she only performed against weaker lip syncers or to songs that were clearly more in her element than the queen she was up against.
This episode had the potential to be really fun. Unfortunately, it was completely ruined by overproducing, to the point where my friend and I pretty much guessed how the whole tournament would play out step-by-step, and we were right about almost all of it.
Hey producers: If you're going to waste our time like this, don't bother. Leave some room for things to play out organically or just stop doing All Stars altogether, because this "finale" really could have been an Instagram post.

This movie has an entertaining storyline with characters who are a lot of fun to watch. Where it falls short for me is the lack of depth. We know that the two best friends, Andrew and Jake, are insecure and lacking confidence, but we never really learn why that is. And at the end when everything comes to a head, there's not really any self-reflection. The consequences come as a result hurting the people they cared about, but not really for lying to a ton of people. So for me, it was just missing that extra layer to have me invested in the characters. I feel like I didn't know much about them other than what was happening in their lives in that moment. Overall, the movie was entertaining enough, but it made no sort of impact on any level, at all.
