The plot is simply an excuse to string implausible mangle-people scenes together
To try to make it interesting they jumble up the time-line, so you are gradually let into the background events. If it had a plausible plot the writers would not need to do this - it is simply an attempt to hide the shallowness of their idea
The fight scenes have lots of 'good guy gets creamed but for some reason the bad guy can't finish him off' nonsense
After one of the characters is shot by a sniper clean across the Thames our heroine still stands in front of glass windows
After being threatened with being killed, another of our supposedly clever assassins stands around gawping outside his ex-lover's house
These smart people can't even stop bad guys getting into their own houses unnoticed.
And when they go into bad guy turf, they do it in an utterly fearless and hence stupid manner - but weirdly they survive such foolishness
The script writers should get a new job.

The book this is based on is excellent. The actors in this movie are great.
The special effects are well executed nonsense - only occasional AA shells exploding in the sky while the bombs are falling, the secondary characters being trivial caricatures, bombers flying through searchlights without being followed, .
The plot is NOT from the book. It is full of smart people doing stupid things, and highly improbably coincidences.
If you do decide to watch it, turn it off before the last 20 plus minutes of proof of how script writers think their audience will tolerate vast quantities of utter rubbish.
