Yea it was cool and emotional to see Ahsoka Tano again in this episode, but I really do not feel like this episode was a great one, and not even a good one. (In fact I came here expecting lots of bad reviews, and I was surprised there were so many 10/10 reviews, I'd say that those reviews cannot be objective at all, but okay I leave this to the fan boys and girls).

While visuals and sound were great as always (I really liked the "post apocalyptic atmosphere), there was absolutely no tension. The whole showplace with its inhabitants seemed artificial, the motion sequences (especially of Ahsoka) looked kinda clunky and staged, Mando has his cool moments as always, the action was predictable, there was nothing special about the dialogoues and, uhm, in the end you have the impression it was just another sidequest planet that leads to another sidequest planet and so on. No real story progression again. I can live with this filler epsiode, but for me it was an underwhelming experience. Not bad, not good, nothing special about it, except the little revealations and Ahsokas apperance (that felt kinda meaningless in the end, sigh). Overall I cannot give it more than a 5 out of 10.

  • This is the Star Trek I love

Although the writing wasnt perfect (especially the first half left me with some questions) I enjoyed this episode very much. It raised questions about moral, ethics, philosphy combined with relatable and deep characters, smart scenes and great acting. Some scenes in previous episodes felt a bit off (gore / exaggerated action scenes, ...), but this episode just has the right balance and credibility to feel like Star Trek. Regarding the storyline: Yes, this whole AI topic isn't new but I personally like the execution of it - and it gives us a little mystery vibe in addition. It was one of the episodes I did not want to end, now I cant wait for the finale and the next season.

  • Best movie of the sequel trilogy

Well, that does not mean it is a great one. There are segments in it that I found very entertaining. Besides of that there were many 'roll-eyes' and 'facepalm' moments as well. The problem is that the movie trys to fit so many tastes, that it seems to have no profile and feels rushed. The humour is most of the time just cheap, but there are also some scenes that are truly fun. The visuals and audio are great as always. So why it is the best movie of the sequels? Its Kylos and Reys character development that made the film interesting for me and lets it stick out compared to the other ones. I was emotionally affected in a way that I did not experience in TFA and TLJ. In contrast, most of the other characters could have been completely left out and often felt tedious. I was never bored in the movie - it was interesting until the end because of the main characters. In conclusion its an enjoyable, but far from perfect film. The rating, that is even worse compared to the other movies, obviously comes from expectations that we're finally not fulfilled.
