  • This Is Not Your Daddy's Black Adam - Originality Be Damned

Black Adam is not a bad film; it is entertaining and interesting. Black Adam is also not a DC Universe game changer; it is not original in any way. The film Black Adam has a storyline we have seen too many times; there are way too many settings that are ripped directly from other DCU\MCU films. You should consider this production of Black Adam as a one-off; a dream of Dwayne Johnson that was finally cobbled together into reality, but expect the future iterations of Black Adam as well as the DCU to be portrayed completely different. Black Adam is worthy of a visit to the theater, during 'cheap ticket night' of course, but don't invest too much interest in this iteration of Teth-Adam.

  • The Film Is Drowning In First-Timers

The first time Director is really a Stunt Coordinator, the screenplay written by a first time in the industry author and another that keeps writing the same thing over and over and over..... What really killed this film, let ALL the air out of the balloon - Dave Franco. I grow so weary of these hacks that land gigs because they are related to someone who actually is talented or they know someone who knows someone who knows someone....... Jamie Foxx needed a quick payday and it's a travesty we don't have more of Snoop Dogg. Don't pay to watch this, as it would be more entertaining watching It's A Wonderful Life backwards.

  • Oh Russo Brothers, Why You Keep Delivering Schlock

$200 million for a 5 out of 10 rated film that drew only $249,462 at the box office before streaming. Yeah, I think the Russo brothers once again blow smoke up our **** trying to deliver another non-superhero blockbuster. The Gray Man is formula film on steroids, complete with unrealistic action without the need of computer-generated everything, dialogue that is no where near real world interactive speech and Chris Evans who looks like Hitler during his barbershop quartet days. I can count on my watch the minutes left before Disney sends over the acquisition papers to Netflix. You will watch The Gray Man when you have watched all others available and you're tired of watching reruns.

  • 1st time Director wanted 60% factual, created 100% doubtful

Silverton Siege is based upon a real life siege in South Africa 1980. As depicted in the film, the three antagonists enter the bank and take hostages - This now ends our 60% factual commitment from the Director. The events of the actual Silverton Siege are very violent and disturbing, and I'll let you all look up the details. Overall this film, Silverton Siege, tells of events in 1 hour 40 minutes in what should have taken 20 minutes to capture - the rest of the film is to exponate and exaggerate only a very small portion of actual events.

  • You Know What's Coming, But You Hang Around Anyway

All the Old Knives is a film you watch when you're scrolling through the channels and nothing is on. The R-rating is strictly for the sex scenes, which were unnecessary, because this film calls upon the viewer's imagination with many plot elements implied so spelling out those scenes in detail is contradictory to the approach of telling the story. The screenplay and novel author Olen Steinhauer is also responsible for the fantastic series Berlin Station and if the author had more time and money to produce a longer film(maybe 3 more hours) All the Old Knives might have been a better production. All the Old Knives is average, middle of the road, meh, but.....if you truly want a better experience, pay strict close attention to all the characters and the small elements that are introduced throughout the film - which are many.

  • OMG! My Coffee Is Funding International Covert Operations!

It was nice to see Chris Pine redeem himself from the cacastorm known as Wonder Woman 1984. It was nice to see Ben Foster, albeit in a typecasted role. It's always good to see Kiefer Sutherland on screen, instead of in the bar. J. P. Davis hasn't written much, but this project it's pretty much a cookie cutter tale. Some scenes were rushed and the ending was more 'Oops, used up the budget - gotta go.' I'll give Chris Pine the benefit of a good outing on this one, as it has been 2 years since he stretched his legs. Ben Foster need to do a musical, a children's television show - anything but the same worn out character he keeps getting cast for. Kiefer Sutherland needs to demand more screen time on his next films, as he was barely a visual in this project.

  • HOLY WD-40, PENGUIN! WAIT - YOU'RE NOT THE BEAVER!

Let's get this out of the way - there is a unique graphical presence that makes The Guardians of Justice sometimes fun to watch. OK...man, this is garbage. I have seen better fanboy productions, complete with better writing. Every episode is throwing so much background data at the screen, the screen constantly flashing and the setting always in constant motion that there should be an epileptic seizure warning prior to each episode. The Guardians of Justice is like watching multiple seasons of an anthology series with episodes laid one on top of another. There is zero originality, zero craftmanship, z.e.r.o. Value in every episode. I would find more entertainment in NETFLIX just displaying a pile of burning money that each episode would have cost. You keep experimenting NETFLIX, and eventually that spaghetti will stick to the wall.

  • Where Have I Seen, Heard, Smelled, Tasted & Felt This Before?

The Adam Project is a great time waster with solid writing and excellent production. The problem with The Adam Project is that it relies on way too many tropes to deliver any kind of unique storytelling. Watching The Adam Project is like opening a ZOOM window with eight compartments, and then playing Somewhere In Time, Return Of The Jedi, Wandavision, The Last Starfighter, Terminator, MCU, Independence Day and Quantum Leap at the same time.

  • This Is Some Serious Garbage

This is material for the pre-adolescent 13 year olds of the 21st Century. Seth Rogan seems to talk the talk with executives who know no better than the average fan, but his recent career has shown he certainly can't walk the walk. Garth Ennis is a comic writer and is not expected to know how to take his writings and turn them into a quality production. The production of Diabolical tarnishes greatly the image of production of The Boys. Yes, the concept on paper was fun to fantasize about but the end product results in what I can produce from eating too much Taco Bell.

  • KIMI Is My Film Of The Year(but it's February)

Zoë Kravitz gives a career defining performance. Her character Angela Childs is one you get annoyed with in the beginning as she is pompous, self-centered, egotistical and just a pain in the rear. As the story progresses, you begin to understand why she carries these traits and not only so you understand her well-being but you then begin to sympathize for what she has to endure. The story itself is well crafted with some minor characters not really pulling their weight but don't really drag the film's overall objective. KIMI is the answer to all those superhero movies you don't want to see. OOPS, I forgot - there's a BAT coming.

  • Film Production So Easy, Anyone Can Do It

Anyone Can Do It, including a couple of hacks who do nothing more than gather together dozens of pieces of material from original sources, break out the hammer and nails and some duct tape, and cobble together a garbage piece such as this. Hack #1 Danielle Winter, who claims to be a Director, Writer, Editor, Production manager and could probably fix my plumbing and perform a tune-up on my Hyundai, has shoehorned no less than 35 projects since 2019 - all mindless schlock stitching together other source's material. Hack #2 Jordan Hill, who got her start as a porn actress and now claims to be a Writer and Editor....whatever. It is a shame that these two can haphazardly piece together material from original sources, call it their own and make money off of the end results.

  • What The Hell Is This?

....or you could be one of the millions worldwide who were born and aware of life prior to the release of The Matrix(1999). The original, on its own, was deep in innuendos while groundbreaking in production and direction. In viewing The Matrix(1999) today, many current real world issues and commentary are discussed in great detail, setting this film as a visionary masterpiece. Now, there were two other Matrix films shortly released after the original that diverted from the apparent beaten path laid down by the original - not part of this discussion. Have you ever brought food home from the restaurant that, when originally served tasted immaculate, but just doesn't taste(or look) the same reheated at home - well, The Matrix Resurrections(2021) is such an example. Taking the leftovers of The Matrix(1999), The Matrix Reloaded(2003) and The Matrix Revolutions(2003) from the refrigerator after 20 years, mixing it all into one container then sticking it in the microwave and expecting the same taste and freshness from when it was first prepared.....no, that's not going to happen. The Matrix Resurrections(2021), also known as The Matrix Regurgitations or The Matrix Resuscitations or.....crap is a retelling of the original trilogy adapted for 2021. Gone are the extensional meanings of decades past and in place are the 21st century paint-by-numbers, gone are the groundbreaking special effects and in place is something that could have been produced by a CW Network team. The original concepts of (Larry and Andy) Lana and Lilly fall off the bridge and into the void below within the first 5 minutes of these reheated leftovers. If you have never seen any Matrix films, avoid this major catastrophe and instead discover The Matrix from the beginning, as it was intended to be told.

  • Hey Great First Episode, 2nd Episode Falls Off A Cliff Halfway In

Hey Great First Episode, 2nd Episode Falls Off A Cliff Halfway In.... What a great first episode, how every Disney\Marvel show should have been presented in the beginning. The first episode of Hawkeye is for every fan, both diehards and newbies. The issue I have for Hawkeye EP.01 is...the Kate Bishop grunting and groaning AND the keystone cops portrayed as the Tracksuit Mafia. EP.02 of Hawkeye.... Oy Vey! What I was afraid of happening...happened ay the 20 minute mark. First of all, the 'Previously On' beginning segment is unnecessary and has never been a part of the Marvel Universe storytelling - this is valuable production time wasted on what viewers already know. Then comes the preaching and liked being slapped in the forehead with an 8lb salmon we are reminded....this is the story of Hawkeye and a little girl, with emphasis on the little girl's point of view. Well, that killed this second episode quickly. If Hawkeye EP.03 starts off the same as Episode 02, that will be the end of my Hawkeye viewing for good.

  • When You Think The Rough Draft Is Good Enough....

Rushed is a film that is the rough draft of what could have possibly been, had this film had competent professionals who could recognize this is not a finished product - just a half-baked lasagna that needs more time.

Siobhan Fallon Hogan, who has proven to be a master in her class as an accomplished actress, seems to have not much industry support for this project that she wrote and produced(with the assistance of her family and Robert Patrick).

I would really like the Hogan family and their Emerald Caz Productions to take Rushed and flesh it out into a Lifetime series, or go more adult and darker with other streaming sources, and turn this project into a platform that truly exposes the subject matter. A Rushed series would allow Siobhan Fallon Hogan to expound much more deeply her writing and allow the Hogans(and Robert Patrick) more opportunity to fine tune their production skills, so that other Emerald Caz Productions project can feel more polished and defined.

  • You Must Know Tim To Appreciate Jerk

Don't you dare watch any episode of Jerk until you understand Tim Renkow. Tim Renkow is a comedian, writer and previous Olympic Decathlon athlete representing good 'ol GB. Tim has written all the episodes of Jerk, he's responsible for most of the camera operation and even paid the entire crew with funds from his fortune. You must watch BBC Comedy Feeds-A Brief History of Tim before watching Jerk. You must watch Bobby & Harriet Get Married before watching Jerk. The type of comedy Tim Renkow represents places himself at the center of the punchline not just for laughs but to also make a tragic point. If what type of comedy Tim is trying to convey is unsettling to you, then Mr. Renkow has completed his mission. There is a reason why experienced accomplished folk such as Stu Richards and Lorraine Bracco are onboard with Tim for a reason - and it works. I'm just looking forward to the episodes with Idris Elba, in which he and Tim do some DJ work for some of the local pubs.

The Exorcist III plays like a parody of the typical murder mystery, with the occasional Exorcist items dropped in to make you think this is a third Exorcist film(part of a trilogy) - which it is not. Take away all Exorcist elements and you are left with a murder mystery that will make you facepalm and laugh at all the unintentional humor.

  • WARNING! DANGER, Will Robinson, DANGER! WARNING!

This is not a fan film but the 2nd full blown production of a story involving THOR, which dates back to God of Thunder (2015). These two films are exactly the same, story wise, just repackaged for a new audience. Every value of each production is crappy, worst than some fan films but better than watching paint dry. This film is in a long line of others being gobbled up by Invincible Entertainment Partners, for like $50.00 a piece. This is not a bad thing, as Invincible is filling a need of streaming services such as NETFLIX and AMAZON to fill their coffers with unlimited content. These films, such as Thor:End of Days, are exactly what they intend to be - low budget mindless entertainment to take your mind off of.....whatever. These Invincible films also carry big name stars, usually in their first roles, and will use just enough Title endowment and marketing to get your attention - even for a brief moment. Yeah, it's free enterprise, so you keep going Invincible Entertainment Partners - keeping us entertained.....(JK)

  • Yet Another Unoriginal HBO Adaption

There was a time when HBO set precedence over other sources when creating the 'mini-series' and HBO has many awards to show for their work - those days are now long gone. Since Part 1 of The Plot Against America is laying the foundation for the future episodes of the total story, the writers have decided to take pieces of Inglorious Bastards, The Man in the High Castle, The Americans plus other episodic tales and films to create a most unoriginal patchwork of storytelling. Part 1 is a really slow burn of an episode, with only one climatic scene within the last 5 minutes. I'm really disappointed at the lack or originality this series will represent.
