I usually find most stand up comedians funny, however I did not find Caleb funny. His combination of delivery and perceived attitude simply didn't work. It isn't his material. I have seen other comedians make the subject matter Caleb uses both relevant and funny. I would be hard pressed to watch another one of his performances.
I'm a huge fan of Jason Statham and unfortunately this has to be one of his worst movies yet. Conceptually this could have been a really good action movie, but alas it wasn't. Yes, it had some decent action sequences ( primarily limited to the hand to hand combat sequences). The script is just downright awful. The dialogue between characters is often simply stupid as if convicted by some maladjusted AI program. The acting is at best mediocre and is hit or miss from scene to scene. The villains are like out of some child inspired comic book leaving one shaking their head and asking why?
Universal Studios has been the home of classic movies forever. In their attempt to reimagine the Wolf Man, they made a well acted movie that completely missed the mark in terms of a werewolf movie. Outside of the introduction of the movie, there is nothing regarding the lycanthropy folklore. The movie plays out more like an obscure "zombie" film than a werewolf movie. If this is Universals attempt at bringing their classic monsters back, they should quit because they ruined the classic of my youth. It's bad enough there is no wolf transformation in the moonlight, but the movie lacks any real plot or depth. If you are a fan of Universal monsters of yesteryear, you might want to pass in this .
