I don't understand the hig.h ratings. This series is simply our - stupid. The animation is subpar. This seems to be the MO for DC animated series. The script is fairly mindless, as if written by completely stoned teenagers. You can add this to the rest of the failed series that DC has launched. Perhaps, I was expecting more from Mr Gunn. He certainly didn't deliver with this trash.

The Peripheral is a solid series. It is well written, well acted and has a combination of action, suspense and thought provocation. Even the cinematography is commendable. Unfortunately I am not familiar with the book that served as source material for the series. Therefore I cannot comment on whether the series "stuck to the story ". It is not a series that you can casually watch as it is easy to miss the details that allow you to understand just what is transpiring. The series ended quite open endedly allowing for a subsequent season. Unfortunately Amazon decided to NOT proceed with a second season, much to my dismay. Amazon has a way of cancelling good shows too often.

If you enjoy thought provoking and a little trippy sci fi, give this series a watch.

A movie that has a lot of familiar names and faces for action movies, and it can't get out of its own way. It is extremely low budget and has horrific cinematography. The script is simply terrible. The dialogue is bland and usually scene unrelated. The action sequences are subpar and the general acting is flat. Given some of the talent, this may be due to lousy directing If you have a choice, pass this one by..
