There's nothing I like more than creepy 70s campy horror. And this has it in spades.
Ray Milland (of "X: The Man with X-ray Eyes" go watch it now, I mean right now!) is the splendidly arrogant manipulative patriarch who built his wealth by leeching from the environment.
Oh not so fast buddy boy, payback is a ... er um, a not so pleasant a woman.
Anyway Sam Elliot (unrecognizable sans mustachio) tries to correct Milland's errant ways. Not gonna happen. But nature will do the deeds for him. No spoilers so that's all I'll say.
Look, this movie is from the 70s, don't expect high level special effects or set pieces. But there are decent performances from Milland, Elliot, and Joan Van Ark (adorable) and a creepy cool ambience that make this a treat. And if you were a child during the 70s, it'll take you back. In a good way.
Please recycle.

I've seen this movie categorized as Drama or ridiculously Comedy-Drama.
No. This film is pure mainline misery.
Daphne repeatedly puts herself in bad situations and makes wrong decisions for reasons completely unclear. She must love misery (we all know those individuals) because no other explanation fits.
Furthermore the very few positive characters in this film occasionally have nonsensical tendencies to be attracted to Daphne. WHY?? Why would anyone want to get near such a total downer?! Yes the actress is very attractive, and yes men aren't very bright when a pretty woman is involved, but no one can be that persistently foolish. Well, OK some guys can be, but ... oh nevermind.
Don't bother with this movie unless you enjoy migraines.

I saw that Jerry Seinfeld was behind Unfrosted along with an incredibly talented cast. One after another the actors (look up the cast list, incredible) are comedic giants.
So how is it possible that this movie is SO painfully unfunny? I don't get it? Is Seinfeld really this untalented? Was Larry David the sole genius behind "Seinfeld" but no one told Jerry Seinfeld?
Again, not funny: simplistic humor that never hits, forgettable characters, no insight or cleverness, too many references that didn't relate. Seinfeld's dryness came across as just plain flat. Writing too cute for its own (and our own) good, with little intelligence.
Gave it two stars because the sound quality was great. If you have a surround system you'll feel it.
(Repeatedly mumbling to self: "How can it be THIS bad, how, how? How?"....)
