Its much less of a collaborative effort to solve serious and complicated crimes. It has changed into mishmash of lessor sub plots where the principles have very little to do with each other and are all doing their own thing. Also, the personal lives of the main characters seem to occupying's a larger and larger percentage of air time. I think that the creator has lost control of the show and the actors are exercising more control over the storylines and the network is catering to them by doing some very awkward balancing acts.
My favourite shows get better and better as the season progresses, this one seems to be going the other direction.
When the plot, or some other element of the show bothers me, I take a break from it. This particular episode took me 6 efforts to finish watching it.

If you had ever appeared on a stage you would have been taught how to speak and be understood. I rely on subtitles as many words are slurred together in uninterpretable sequences of vowels and consonants. Many key emphases for words we use in North America are completely missing.
Often a director misses this because he knows what the lines spoken are supposed to be and is instead watching the actors faces rather than listening to what is coming out of them. Keira and Ben are perfectly understandable but the rest are not.
Its too bad the series came out all at once or we could expect some improvements in later episodes with feedback such as this.
Its a shame when the work is largely dialog driven.

Background electronic music too loud at times
During the interrogation scene at the police station (in which the actors spoke very quietly) the electronic keyboard music was overpowering the dialog.
It's ok to have loud music during an action scene or even a suspenseful scene without dialog but when crucial relevant dialog is being shared with both the investigating characters and the audience for the first time you should be able to hear a pin drop.
You need to work on this.
Perhaps the editor was too focused on the visuals rather than the audio and dialog.
