  • Once Upon a Time... Probably

First of all, this movie is an average sword movie. It was popular in its time, but I had never watched it before. I think this kind of movie, like Beowulf, where the story is told not exactly like the legend but more like "what if this was real" or "this is how it probably happened", is not a bad idea. I have never read the King Arthur legend. I also do not have deep knowledge about it. I only remember a short summary from my English classes at school. Before this movie, I thought King Arthur was a real person, but he was not. This film approaches the story as if he maybe existed, and that makes the movie interesting. I am sure there are other movies that tell the legend in a more classic way. I liked the movie, but there are also many things I did not like. I liked the acting. Almost all actors were good. I did not really like Keira Knightley's acting in this movie, but the others were great. The battle scenes were average. There are movies with much better battle scenes. The movie is a bit long, but I did not get bored. I also did not like the ending very much. It could have been darker.

In general, there is not much more to say. It is an average sword movie, but it was enjoyable to watch.

  • Beowulf: Same Name, Different Story

First of all, I had heard about the Beowulf legend before, but I did not know it in detail. Before watching the movie, I researched and read about it. The film is an adaptation of the epic, but it is not the same story. Because of this, I do not think naming the film "Beowulf" was a very good idea. A first-time viewer who does not know the original epic might think the story is exactly like this, but it is only an adaptation. To be honest, I personally find the story told in the film more interesting than the original epic. The movie shows how legends are created, how real events can be exaggerated and turned into epics for people. Instead of a classic hero story, we see that heroes can be liars, or that their stories are exaggerated to make their names famous. Since I did not watch the film in the year it was released, the CGI looks very weak today. It may have looked realistic at that time, but now it looks very bad. It feels like cinematic cutscenes in video games that you play. Because of this, I did not like the CGI choice. Still, I understand the decision, because this kind of technology was difficult at that time. However, movies like Pirates of the Caribbean were released a few years earlier and had amazing CGI.

Overall, the film is not bad in terms of story, and I think I liked it. But visually, it is a disappointment when watched today. Even so, I still think it is a movie worth watching.

  • Darth Diddy

First of all, I have always been distant from hip-hop and rap. I never really liked the genre. As someone who listens mainly to metal and rock, there are only a very small number of rap songs that I have liked and listened to. In general, it is not my taste. Because I was distant from this scene, I was not aware of many of the events surrounding it. I only became aware of Sean Combs after he was captured. Until then, I apparently knew only one or two of his songs. Especially I'm Coming Home was a song I actually liked. That is about it. Of course, this documentary is not a legal judgment. It does not provide a court verdict. However, it shows and lets us hear what happened from the perspective of witnesses. His extreme ego and intoxication with power are not unique to him. This exists in every field on show-business. After learning about what he allegedly did through this documentary, I was shocked. At the same time, I was not surprised. People like this have always existed, especially in recent years many of them have been exposed, and there are probably still many things we do not know. I expected the documentary to address the Justin Bieber topic as well, but it did not. It was also interesting to learn that 50 Cent was a producer of this documentary. A criminal father, a badly raised child, and then growing up, making money, gaining power, and becoming "The Boss" in business. It shows how a person's family and environment and also money or power can shape who they become.

We watch documentaries like this, we get shocked, and then we continue with our lives. But the most important thing is that the people who lived through these events will carry their trauma for the rest of their lives. There is nothing more to say.
