I like all |Canadian movies. I enjoy anything with Brett Butt starring in all things Canadian. So this movie was a perfect combination of Canadian movie with Brett Butt starring in a Canadian movie. The acting of all the actors was really good. I think we have a superior talent pool in Canada. I also think that Brett Butt is very comedic. Seven more lines of text to go. If I were more acquainted with the private detective genre of the 50's, I am sure there are references to movies of this time era. The gumshoe, is the correct word I think. So he played the part perfectly. So did his friend, David Koechner. Of course the diner scene always makes me think of Corner Gas. Enjoyable light hearted fluffy entertainment. Why not?

  • great acting on a beautiful road

Enroute Air Canada is airing this movie. I managed to watch the first hour and looked forward to my return trip to re watch from beginning to end. What a great movie. Considering that the two main characters carried the whole movie along with beautiful visual scenery, it was quite remarkable. Enjoyed it thoroughly, but then I am a huge fan and champion of all things of Canadian. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys good acting, great humour and an ending that is up for debate these days. And appreciates Canadian film and Canadian actors. Why you have to have ten lines review, I will never know. Sometimes a short review that gets to the point is far more effective than a long drawn out review that peoples eyes just glaze and gloss over. All in all....a good movie. p.s. why can I not find the soundtrack list anywhere? any help there?

  • Set in the west, but not a "western". Its more than that!

Incredible show. Just re-watched the first three episodes. All four lead characters are brilliant actors. Such talent. Visually stunning with the British Columbia foothills as a backdrop. So many words to describe this show, mystical, bizarre, quirky, tragic, etc. Historical perspective of women and their lot in life during these times. I recommend this show for anyone who enjoys a good and oddly bizarre drama. Hindsight now gives us historical accuracies, but at the times depicted they were not quite sure where they were. But interesting, the coal mines, think of Coleman area, the railroads, the hard life of the early settlers. Thankyou CBC for producing this excellent show. I am enthralled!
