GoT meets Shogun meets Indiana Jones meets LOTR meets Wheel of Time! Such a great show with interesting characters and plot, well-balanced with action and drama!
I love Chinese culture, and there are so many references to hostoric China and customs that I really enjoyed.
I am American but have always been interested in the concepts of Chinese culture from Taoism to the Tao De Ching. There is so much to learn.
The cinematography was beautiful as are the actors and actresses. I was hoping for a dragon throughout but there are some satisfying mystical elements for those who seek that type of thing. ENJOY!

This movie is fun, perky, silly, sexy, thoughtful, poignant, full of dark humor and surprisingly sweet!
Don't go in with serious expectations, and let yourself be pleasantly surpried.
Zachary Quinto (who I ALWAYS love) and Lucas Gage (mixed feelings on prior exposures, but this locked him in as a new fave to watch!) are perfect and natural in their roles.
The story jumps right in to main character , Gary, getting a massage from a "hired hand" (IYKYK) and shyly admitting to his gayness and recent divorce related to aforesaid revelation. The events proceed forth from there in a comedic folly of dark humor- based events.
Highlights: Judith Light as the drunken neighbor who provides sparkling distraction combined with a certain vulnerability, and Simon Rex/Dirt Nasty as the "uniquely-fetishized" closer, are great supports. The dream-like drug-induced sequence put a cherry on top!
I found myself laughing throughout and ultimately crying towards the end, which I did not anticipate. The characters of ZQ and LG really pull you in and snag onto your heart strings through their acting in unexpected moments.
I wholly recommend watching this movie to other sensitive souls who can easily appreciate dark humor, love, and bittersweet loss.
