I had been looking forward to this film since I saw the first trailer - and doubly so after reading the book that it's based on. (Definitely read the book before or after seeing the film; it has a lot more detail and interesting tidbits of information).
Overall, I think this is a solid adaptation, slowed only by Ridley's use of chapters to tell the story. I felt this really slowed the momentum that leads up to the duel itself - which was definitely the highlight of the film for me.

Compared to Diablo 2, this game feels very thin. While i understand the focus is on what comes AFTER the main campaign, the main story nevertheless feels super thin and uninspired.
Awesome cinematics, as always, but otherwise, I was a bit disappointed.

Campy dialogue, solid animation, and a cool story. A fun twist on a classic franchise.
