I'm absolutely scared of horror scenes so I only watch movies That has a plot worth the blood pressure rise. Ari aster is one such director for me. Movies like paranormal activity are so much vain according to me. The Erie atmosphere, the sound design, the acting, the desperation is truly amazing.
I hate cheap jumpscares. Triggering someone's flight response by suddenly placing someone before you with a round this sound doesn't equal true horror to me. Although I love FNAF which is quite the contrary, I understand that.
My favourite genre is a psychological horror. As the oldest daughter in my Asian family, I could understand the pain the MC felt. Although my trauma is not as bad as hers.
I definitely recommend this movie. Especially to women. Not because it has some kind of social message, but because of it's amazing story telling. I'm not a Christian but I found myself agreeing to the family, I wanted to pray with them for their safety and I wanted to shield the MC from her family and herself.
Sorry English isn't my first language, I really appreciate such movies and I hope more such movies get made without cheap jumpscares and token scary long hair white skin woman.

I saw this on Amazon prime video. I wasn't expecting too much but I really ended up liking it. All the actors did a great job and zendaya especially was flawless.
The sport scenes were engaging and the world tension was really good.
I don't know about how others felt about this movie, but I really liked it and I think it is a good movie to have a one-time watch.
So I recommend it.
I just like the world tension and the score of the movie as well.
The music is something I would like to give props.
A satisfying watch overall.
