Inspired by High and Low, it may be, but this movie comes nowhere near Kurosawa's masterpiece. Only the issue of the mixed up kidnapping, but apart from that it lacks all the emotional tension in the family and the gradual build-up of the search for the kidnapper by the police. The sequence on the train is completely ridiculous. How can you time an emergency-break stop so that a space between carriages is exactly above a certain space, the person there also loses his package, which then falls exactly in the arms of a kidnapper. After this it becomes boring. No need for the main character to go after the kidnapper himself once he has been identified and all the rest just leads nowhere. Giving one star would mean that this is the worst movie I ever saw, which is not completely true, but a waste of time it surely was.
It takes some nerve to even hint that this load of trash is a remake of Pasolini's Teorema. The sequencing maybe similar and some lines are taken from Teorema but the disgusting images tell no comprehensible story. In no instance is there any hint of erotic feelings, the exposure of all the body parts is mostly revolting. It is incomprehensible how this anomaly of a movie could ever be put on the market disguised as some art house creation. I don't see any more in it than hardcore pornography and even in that genre it performs poorly. The dialogues at the end are pseudo sophisticated gibberish. Something to quickly forget, don't waste your time on it.
Another addition of a season to a successful series is not always a good idea. The first two seasons were entertaining and OK to watch, if you will allow for some not-so-credible things happening. The third season however is way over the top with a completely unlikely plot and equally unlikely events happening. A story of human trafficking is acceptable these days, but this plot exaggerates with far-fetched family bonds, surprise after surprise but not in the right way. The acting of the Veronica character is good but does not save the series. Fortunately only 3 episodes, but that was already too much.
