This show is an absolute farce of a spectacle, it's archeological and historical propaganda utterly scripted like a narcissist's love letter to themself but designed to lead you astray. Zahi Hawass personality is the only real eye opening theme throughout this series, it's a theme of dictatorship bordering megalomania, it shows him as a abusive bully and you can tell that this is his idea as he takes the stage like a desperate over actor trying for an Oscar. Zahi downplays a lot of popular alternative theories in this mummy chasing circus performance and unfortunately for Dr Hawass it seems he digs his own grave whilst aiming to convince the world of deceptions. Alas time hasn't been kind on his dismissals of alternative theories, his output borders mockery and belittlement of folk who have worked (and died) they're whole lives in the field of Egyptology, his downplaying of vast tunnel systems, secret chambers, scientific techniques, tombs that were found which are connected to murders, and factual data is sickening as we now know that these things are true, he has clearly and intentionally gone out with his ak47 here to shut down conspiracy theories so much so that you can smell a coverup within the first two episodes like bacon in a bedsit. Make no mistake (I'm sure you won't) the people in this are actors not professionals and not very good actors either, everything is obviously set up under Hawass' strict control and the actual archiological find events are staged. Dr Hawass is cought lying throughout this series and it clearly damaged his credibility yet he is still controlling the narrative of history and archeology in Egypt like a bloody hammer, intentionally slowing down explorations and acting as part of what can only be described as a mafia who want it all for themselves, they are clearly covering up truths that belong to the world, digging them up and biting them straight afterwards. Don't expect to be dazzled with new knowlege here, watch it for its comedy value because that's all there is. #FreeEgyptology #TellTheTruth.
I'll keep is short and sweet.. season 1 was a let down but season 2 has brought some redemption for the series, much better in my opinion. Tries to stay as tired to the lore and the Jackson movies as possible. The acting and overall dramatically vibe of the show has also improved. I'll admit I was sceptical about the shows longevity after the first series but season 2 has given me some optimism and I hope it continues and attracts more viewers and attention, Tolkiens worlds deserve to be honoured and explored and this series is doing that more than Jackson was allowed to. Give it a watch and lose yourself in middle earth once again.
This episode is the worst so far by a stretch, it's as if the producers believe that this series can't fail but it's been very hit and miss so far this first season. This episode is quite boring lots of talking and not much happening and the music is very dramatically overlayed over generic underwhelming scenes. PRODUCERS Game of Thrones was much betterthan this expensive bore. I can tell this series is building upto a big event but there isnt much impact from the intended scenes, some the actors are poorly picked in my opinionand let down the talented members of the cast, this show needs to grow up or its doomed im sorry to say.
