For what it tried to do it's 10/10. All of it felt very real and even I, the viewer, was distressed. For the sake of simplicity I rank things based on personal enjoyment
Do not go into this expecting a classic whodunit story. We know who did it from the start. Detective work isn't shown either. This mini series focuses on 13yo boy, detained, questioned for the murder of his classmate - his experience, his father's sitting next to him fully believing his son, police, social worker and psychologist struggling to remain professional, the feeling of gray rattled school this crime left behind and the society as a whole that breeds tragedy
My only complaint is the length- it could've been a movie with a little trim; as a mini series it needed an extra episode dealing with the trial and aftermath, feels unfinished as is. Or maybe that's what they were going for.

Dexter is out of his prime and so is this story. Without a job in law enforcement it's tougher to make him interact with criminals he hunts. How do you make a rideshare driver center of the plot in a big city? Away from murder investigation we have to make do - getting really lucky with information and bumping into opportunity after opportunity.
He's still making dumb mistakes and has to barely avoid getting caught couple of times. I'm tired of that
All in all it's fine, just fine. Not as exciting as previous editions so I've enjoyed it less. Rated the same as New Blood as they share many aspects - slower pacing, same old BHB scare, too quick wrap up with the main villain, Harrison navigating life.

My ratings tend to be based on personal enjoyment, which isn't the most fair and concrete system. Still I am a regular person, unaware of acting and filming intricacies so I am most suited to simply express how I've felt.
True to the essence of brutalist architecture this story simply is. Ugly, cold, bare, not trying to please anyone or pity itself, it exists and isn't here for your comfort. It's real and unapologetically unsettling. Blocks of concrete kept falling on me and they were not sorry. The developments were heavy and the conclusions unsatisfactory. Well made but I'm feeling low and empty so for that 6/10.
