Am I accidentally watching a diva drama disguised as a post-apocalyptic thriller? Because, wow, we've gone from fighting infected to what feels like frontier politics meets reality TV squabbles. It's a bit like tuning in for a gritty survival epic and ending up with a campfire soap opera. But hey, I guess even the end of the world needs its share of unexpected plot twists!
Sure, we all love a good Wild West shootout, but after years of fighting mushroom zombies... that's the best plan they had? No wonder the fungi are winning - they're the ones evolving. I get that the plot needs momentum, but a touch more creativity wouldn't hurt. Next time think of what really desperate for survival humans are capable to design, and go with that.
While I've always appreciated the depth of 'The Handmaid's Tale,' I found Season 6, Episode 9 to be lacking in realism and depth. The execution of the Commanders simplistic and unrealistic, especially considering how as if the writers ran out of ideas, or the entire production team just wanted to just finish this story with no regard to real logic or respect for the audience. The intricate world of Gilead was simplified into a bunch of dilettantes who under state attack they don't provide the minimal martial law, kind of protect protection and defense.
