It's working class, the characters are loveable and the comedy is great. Bathos at its best, laughing one minute and feeling genuinely sorry for the characters the next.
This show balances the loveable rogues with some genuine issues and does it brilliantly. It does it better than most shows that try to add real feeling to comedy.
Just enjoy the those fools living their lives with outrageous laugh out load comedy moments, how this show isn't more widely known is a surprise!
Stumbled upon this series and quickly watched all episodes. Really good laugh and definitely worth a watch. What more do you need?

Alright I wasn't impressed by the first episode
And YES social and cultural issues are thrown in your face, but...
The cast and characters really grow on you. There are some hilarious moments involving the original cast
And yes the show knows it's silly in (a lot) of places
The balance of comedy with over the top characters and serious issues (with a bunch of 90s nostalgia) makes this worth a watch just give yourself time to get what the show it trying to do.

The special effects for 2009 blew my mind! I've watched this a few times and read the comments and reviews of a week storyline - but it's a disaster movie! I think it's fine
Lots of tense moments and characters to route for a good reflection of humanity, yes maybe a little idealistic but the journey was fun - go on give it a watch!
