Maggie Q fans will dig it and there's a good movie in here, but you'll have to get through some rough dialogue before this action thriller starts to grab ahold. The title is pretty awful too. It's Assault on Precinct 13, Panic Room and The Purge set at a bachelorette party.
If not for Maggie Q, this movie only gets made by casting some friends for under $50k and winds up being released among the large mulch of movies that remains struggling to find an audience 10 years later. That's how not good the screenplay is. That's how poor some of the editing choices were. But there's still something here worth visiting.

It takes a real craft to make me squirm and focus on the way I breathe while watching. This movie did such a good job at building anxiety throughout that I almost thought I was going to be disappointed with the ending.
McAvoy is a stellar actor and if not for his performance bits in the trailer, I may have missed out on this one. I heard some hype around it, and that usually leaves me disappointed, but my expectations were exceeded.
There were a couple loose plot points that had me questioning the writing and believability in response to some scenarios, but this is my new favorite movie since Hereditary. Not since 1997's Breakdown have I seen a raw thriller like this that absolutely blew me away.
