The first M3gan was a pretty standard robot went crazy trope film... There were many like it in one way or another... This one on the other hand is pure fun Cyberpunk action... I was expecting nothing... This is a very fun action film with all the transcendent being action features... If you like sci fi, if you like robot action, it's a great way to have 2 hours of fun with a pizza ...
I love listening to Daniel talking lore. But I think their experiment with having no descriptive writing in audiobook is wrong approach. Audioeffects- brilliant. But I hated aliens the moment I heard they are religious crusade style, this is most cliche boring thing ever. Overall there is a feeling it's a very impressionist project, where all style, banter but little actual story /creative ideas. So yeah this is definitely not hard science fiction. The series reminds more Firefly/Killjoys than tv shows like Stargate, Expanse, Babylon 5 or Star Trek. It's surprising so many people sign up on production of this.
