So before watching this latest Jurassic movie I rewatched all the other movies from this franchise. In my opinion they are all of the same quality so I rated them all with a seven. Sure sometimes the story is weaker but then it compensates with better acting or better CGI's. This latest one has better actors and good special effects but the story is full of bad decisions again. It's another story of people wanting the best for the dinosaurs against people seeing profit, like every single other movie in this franchise. To be honest, it's getting a bit old. Sure it was entertaining, perfect as a popcorn movie, but at one point you can call it a day, and I think they reached this point.
When the original series Bosch ended many of us were disappointed as it was a quality detective series, the kind you never get bored of. So when Bosch: Legacy came out I was happy. New criminal cases solved by Bosch, but this time Titus Welliver is a private detective and his daughter Maddie played by Madison Lintz is now the police officer. Together with a top lawyer played by Mimi Rogers and a top hacker played by Stephen A. Chang they get criminals arrested, charged and sentenced. It's again very entertaining to watch, with excellent acting, and real good adaptations of Michael Connelly's books. It could have lasted longer in my opinion. There will be another spin-off, called Ballard, which I will of course watch in the hope it is as good.
My wife and I decided to rewatch all the movies from this franchise again before watching the latest one. At the moment I rated them all with a seven. The first one had annoying kids, the second one had a story that wasn't that great if you love animals, and this one despite some reviewers stating it was the worst one yet, I thought was the best one story wise. Maybe not the best in special effects, although still impressive and entertaining, but story wise it was much better than the previous one. Decent acting, good story, impressive dinosaurs, perfect popcorn movie for me. Tonight the fourth one, looking forward to it.
