The first 25-30 minutes of this movie were really good. The movie hooked me in and I liked the style and tone it was going for. Unfortunately, the holes in the script really started to show from the second act onwards.
The movie has a very weak villian in my opinion and it so often feels like things happen randomly and there isn't any proper introduction to a scene. I really think you can feel the reshoots in this one...
Despite all of that, it was still not a bad movie. I thought the director did a good job with the material he was given. Had the script been stronger and more focused, this could've been a good movie.
The biggest positive for me is the relationship between Sam and the new falcon. I really like their chemistry and it makes Sam a more interesting character. I was also pleasantly surprised by Anthony Mackie's performance. Before this movie, I didn't really feel like Sam Wilson could take the mantle of cap, but Anthony Mackie convinced me otherwise.
All and all I think the movie is fine and it did a great job at making me excited for what's to come. I'm actually interested to see where they take Sam's character and I really hope he gets some well-written character arcs. Anthony Mackie deserves it, he really did a fantastic job :)

It's fine if you're looking for a casual horror movie with a lot of jump scares and a simple premise. If that sounds amusing to you I'm sure you will enjoy this film. If you're someone like me who enjoys slow burns, very few jump scares and expansive stories I would really pass on this film.
Even though this isn't the type of horror I love, I can still enjoy it if it's different. Unfortunately this movie is a copy and paste of other films, where our protagonist is ''cursed'' and they need to know how to get rid of it in a certain amount of time. I was able to predict almost everything and got scared zero times.
To summarize, it's nothing new or noteworthy but a good film for casual viewers. I saw it with a friend and it was fun to hear people getting scared in the audience. I would never watch a movie like this by myself though, it does what it has to do but nothing else....
