Svengoolie is a great show that showcases classic movies both good and bad with interesting facts and silly jokes in between. Sventoonie on the other hand, is not that and as my title suggests it has a lot of similarities to Nostalgia Critic (but not in a good way so even if you're a fan of Doug Walker, you'll hate it). To elaborate how it is like Nostalgia Critic, I'll list all of the similarities:
1. The host summarizes the whole movie all while attempting to be humorous (and failing miserably).
2. Obscure references to 80s pop culture.
3. Embarrassingly horrible skits that are painfully unfunny (even Doug's worst is better than Toonie's best, they're that bad). Honestly, those actors in those skits aren't doing themselves any favor for furthering their careers and it would be a hinderance to them getting better gigs.
The only difference is that Toonie doesn't curse, but that does not mean it is appropriate for children.
This show is absolutely atrocious and each episode is worst than the last, the timeslot would be better suited with another episode of Batman.

I really enjoy any show that talks about the origin of food or how it's made and this show is chock full of interesting facts and also debunks certain longtime food myths.
The show is full of really corny jokes, but that does not bother me at all and I really enjoy this show!
