It seems like they can't get the formula right with these streaming platforms, and the need to have everything be politically correct is ruining the industry. The acting was subpar, and the androids seemed kind of off and cheesy, more like a zombie movie rather than an android uprising. It also can't be an American movie unless the couples are mixed, make a movie, and stop trying to force this already dull agenda.
You've heard and read it all before and yet this is still somehow a highly rated show. Netflix just loves to make absolute garbage and this is no exception. They couldn't just stick with the source material and allow a great fantasy story to be told the way it should be, becuase there isn't enough diversity in america. YES THERE IS and its ok to have something that does not include any or maybe just a little. I would much rather play the game again and read the books again than watch this drivel. Henry Cavill was the only thing worth watching and the rest was unnecessary 100%
This wa more of a message than a movie and it was poorly explained, the fact that they said in interviews that they wanted to "take back the narrative" should have been enough. There was nothing to take back, this was a work of fiction and blatantly disregarded the original work and turned it into a mess. The ending with Tony Todd being revealed at the end was cool and all. However, it made zero sense and apparently every tragic person that died in history that was african american got to be a "candyman". Convaluted story and the director and jordan peele had zero passion in this film. This was not a candyman movie at all, it was just a sad attempt at trying to use a multi million dollar film as a campaign for the obvious.
