The other reviews have already covered how odd it is to watch a movie about a musician when it contains none of the actual music. I'm not sure I've watched one of those before, but was open to it this time and would be open to it again. The movie is made, and it's all too late, and I think they chose a fine lead actor, but I have to say I think they should've dubbed in someone singing and playing brilliantly. This fellow isn't awful, but he's not brilliant. So if you are going to try and represent someone brilliant, dub in brilliant singing and some brilliant piano and/or guitar playing.
I love this show anyway, I watch and rewatch episodes in no particular order as the years pass. In the 80s, Leonard Nimoy narrated a show called In Search Of... It opened my mind then, and this show opens my mind now. Sometimes I use it to go to sleep to at night.
So there's that, no big whoop to anyone who may read! This is a really key episode to me. So much great info and topics brought together. I have such appreciation for all the people who pull this show together, who contribute as speakers, etc. If I had the time I'd read all of their books! It's great to let all of these options play in your mind, you don't have to believe things in order to entertain them.
