I was so excited for a quality new nature doc to enjoy. But apart from Obama being a bad narrator, I also can't stop thinking...
Why hire a criminal war monger who's entire cabinet was chosen by an email from CitiBank talk about whales?
He has nothing to do with oceans apart from contributing to their destruction. Under his administration oil production massively increased by 77%, the most of any president in history. Fracking was 'a bridge to clean energy' in his words. Sure thing bud...
Obama was a puppet to big money like every other president and that includes industries that have utter disregard for the oceans.
When I heard his voice, I turned it off. I'm sure the same will go for half of the potential audience for this show.

Most of it was interesting but he had the most dishonest and illogical interview (if you could call it that) with a scientist who he disagrees with. He argued purely through emotion, didn't hear the guy out, and then accused him of being arrogant and using 'bad science' without explaining what about it was bad. Sounded like Suzuki did his research on twitter. Then he does the classic thing where the other guy makes a point and the interview suddenly ends with Suzuki now narrating another snarky underhanded attack about the guy. What a joke. Give me a real science show. Not this wanna be celeb.
Man!
I never truly realized how terrible he is until this show.
Every line is delivered with the same gravelly whispery tone!
Whether someone just died or he's having the happiest moment of his life. You'll never be able to tell!
Brody prescribes to the 'Just say everything with a gravelly whisper and you don't have to actually act' school of acting.
