Blake Lively's performance in this film was a significant letdown for me, mirroring my feelings about several of her previous roles. It seems she has an insatiable desire for the spotlight, and her overwhelming presence dominates each scene to the point of distraction. Instead of bringing authenticity to her character, her portrayal feels overly contrived and lacks the nuance necessary to engage the audience. It's perplexing why Hollywood continues to cast her in such prominent roles, as her performance often falls flat and fails to resonate.
In stark contrast, Anna Kendrick emerges as a true standout in this film. Her ability to seamlessly blend humor and charm makes her a lively presence on screen. With her effortlessly funny delivery and relatable persona, she captures the audience's attention in a way that feels genuine and heartfelt. Kendrick's talent radiates, allowing her character to resonate with viewers as someone warm and sincere.
Ultimately, if you find yourself pondering whether to watch this film, I would recommend saving your time and seeking out something more fulfilling. The lackluster contributions from Lively overshadow the experience, leaving little room for engagement or enjoyment. Rather than enduring a performance that struggles to connect, I suggest exploring films that feature actors who can truly light up the screen.

This show starts very strong and is entertaining for a layperson like me. Seasons one through four are reasonably easy to watch. Season five starts the characters' decline. I get that these guys are on at the tip of the spear and see the worst of the worst, but this show is just a bunch of whining and guys jockeying for positions like dogs in a pack. I would think that a Navy Seal is as put together and with as they come when it comes to military personnel. This show makes it look like they live like they did in the Wild West. Some characters are fantastic to watch, like Sonny. Jason, as a character, is THE WORST. That ego is so big; I'm surprised he can hold that head up. I know he is a producer of the show, and it shows in the character development. They laid it all on one guy and it takes away from the other characters. If I had to do it again, I'd pass after season four ends.
