Though I love the show for the witty, sacrilegious, blasphemous, humor. I absolutely cringe when I think of what kind of technical advisor they had.
Recently we have been binge watching from start to finish, currently in the middle of seventh season.
For the first two seasons the only Diagnosis that Cameron ever gave was Neurofibromatosis. Big word--BUT not pertinent to most of the cases you are diagnosing and usually wouldn't put you in a crisis situation before it was diagnosed.
Then we get to 13 and her go to diagnosis was always Amyloidosis. Amyloidosis is a very rare condition that the patients they are attempting to dump that diagnosis on doesn't have the symptoms. I will hand it to them though; they have probably diagnosed Amyloidosis more in one season that most doctors have done in a lifetime.
We decided to turn the show into a drinking game, but we don't drink, so it's Dr. Pepper we have to chug every time they say LP or MRI.
We have sat through the show because of the humor, the incredible Lisa Edleston and Hugh Laurie, but a "medical drama" I have a better chance of getting Amyloidosis.
