  • Exemplifies Modern Societal Leanings

An episode which is hard to explain without revealing too much. However, I can say that there is a real divergence between what "society", both east and west "equally" expects from students confronting the societal concepts of how to resch those goals and the ways in which they expect to achieve them.

Combine "United States of Tara" with current leftist ideology and you'll find this show. The concept is great but the delivery is sad. True story tellers understand that their audience isn't completely aligned with them. This fact makes them dig deeper to find greater substance. That concept is totally gone in this show.

Yes, saw is established and overdone. But, with it being established at least, you believe they world know and avoid determined stereotypes. Yet they lean into them hard. Wanting to move away from disclosure I won't go into details but certain critical parts are obvious when applied against current US cultural norms. The "real person" , i.e. The director's vision is portrayed, damn be to those who observe.
