I've watched this episode twice and I got a different reaction each time. I think they overdid the young girls wardrobe. When I was in school and I currently work for schools, students are not allowed to wear mid drifts/crop tops and halter tops. Even during her transformation, she never opted to wear a regular T-shirt. The mom seemed to encourage her style of dress because she made a comment about her having a mature body. I find it interesting that they chose Phillip McKenzie to be her parent. Ms. Kenzie has made allegations that her and her father had and incestuous relationship I believe from her preteens to mid 20s. God bless her in surviving and dealing with that.
This miniseries was good for entertainment purposes. I feel you get more complete Information and more into the individuals character. I think a lot of reviewers missed the point. It was intended to show Kristine Barnett, as this woman who thinks she's the child whisperer, who thinks highly of herself. In the documentary, each person involve seems questionable including NATALIA. I wish they would've shown her relationship with the other families as reported in the documentary where they were all interviewed and contribute to the three season docuseries the Curious Case of Natalie Grace. When watching the docuseries at first, I felt sorry for Natalia, but then as I continued to watch it, I didn't know how to feel about any of those people. I think they were all abusive to one another, especially Kristine. The father is a lap dog. The docuseries ended with the Mans having problems with Natalia. The fake evangelist couple has issues as well. I'm hoping that the series come back with a fourth season.
Mary Michelle's acting is terrible. I don't know how she got the lead besides being pretty. I decided to look up her bio and it reads like it's the introduction to a one woman play. It does not provide any background information on her. It reads like a resume. Overdone and unnecessary. I couldn't get past the first three paragraphs out of 20. (Not sure of the exact amount, but it's a lot). I find it interesting for someone who only has so few credits under her belt Definitely her publicist wrote it or an English teacher. Unfortunately, will be seeing her again in future movies. Go check out her page.
