A typical Swedish activity with a clear melancholy attached to it (cruise to Finland) and the feeling of beeing trapped is not hard to imagine for anyone taking a cruise with a finlandsfärja. But such a cruise is still fun and not pretentious. And this series catches nearly all of the archetypes usually beeing on this ship. Especially good is the creepy wash up singer, but also many from the crew are really good.
The horror is a good take on the vampire mythology, making it feel rather real. It is a little bit like a combination of vampires and zombie contamination. It reminds me mostly of Låt den rätte komma in realistic feel and also telling another tale behind the horror, but it also reminds me of Cronenbergs Shivers.
All in all a good series.

WOW, I liked the new Batman a lot. The gritty but more realistic take on Batman (who already made such a transformation from Tim Burtons Batman to Nolans Batman).
This is more dirty and not afraid of taking it even further down to earth. Falcone in both versions are so involved in the beginning of everyting. The making of Batman, the cities tone and in this series the making of the Penguin.
The Penguin is a much more formidable opponent than people think. Learn from the best of the manipulative mind of psychopath Falcone. But his family is still around and they are dangerous but not as smart as daddy but equally psychotic and not dumb at all.
Penguins chance relationship with a kid turned out to be something of a fluke for both. You got to mix the flavours, you get it when you see it.
This series got the finger on the pulse of the city of Gotham and so far it has been hell of a ride.

It is hard to understand what the hype of this documentary is about. I seen plenty of these kind of documentaries when the basic theme simple dissolve in front of the camera since reality do not follow a script.
But the strange part is the good reviews and even prizes that this documentary got. It has a basic red thread and when that falls flat the documentary kind of tries out ten more possible stories. None of them works.
After reading some reviews it seems that some came to the conclusion that at least some of the people in the documentary has to lie. That is not my take on it. I see it as just a lot of loose threads, and no one can say anyting about them.
But for me the filmmaker seems to want to make a better story out of something that was probably nothing in the end.
I do not know if the documentary director wanted to bring herself into the documentary because she gets angry when things do not go the way she want it, and surprisingly she films her saying that too and question the people in the documentary.
It could be that she knowingly brings in the angle that she is the filmmaker and she do not know what to do when the story falls apart. Then she tries all angles to keep the documentary alive. But I do not think the story is such a meta story even though that would be interesting at least.
