They have just shown this on movies4men with English sub titles, whoever did them needs shooting, they have done literal word for word translation and totally miss the context.
It is a shame that so many sub titled films that are spoilt because the person is unable to actually pay attention to the sentence and properly translate the context.
I agree with a previous poster that the character presentation is very good, no doubt why it was released with (poor) English sub titles. It is a shame that some good actors are no longer with us. I will research their names and find out if they died as a result of the break up of Yugoslavia.

The other reviewers have got so much of the more abysmal moments in this really momentous movie, (sticks fingers down throat), that I didn't think there was much more I could add, but surprisingly before I got totally bored with it and flipped to ST the original series, there was a classic scene, where a soldier was electrocuted and the "hero" TV weatherman dived in to check his pulse at the speed of light, before promptly going into CPR, which he patently knew nothing about as he replied, "I got this man, I saw it on Baywatch", well that was the second thing that had me rofl today and I was the first thing.
It probably didn't help the poor guy, flashing his brilliant white teeth and clean cut jaw, lying, to explain where he really was to the blond bimbo he was dating, sorry feminists, but she really was and probably still is and since she is Barbie the airhead he most definitely is Ken.
I finally gave up when the Major re-appeared again, out of sync, the continuity was as abysmal as his haircut and thought enough is enough, I can stand no more, my brain will become as jellified as the crew.
45 minutes of STOS I can cope with, but the studios are going to have to up their game, to impress me and maintain my attention these days.
I will attend the formal burial ceremony, if I can join the celebrations at the wake afterwards. :) R.I.P.

In addition to the re-use of old stock footage there was an error in the scenes after he returned his blind companion to the camp. They showed a troop flying a flag that was no longer used after 1867 and this event was set in 1898. The flag shown was a crescent with 1 star, this may have been either the Ottoman Egypt or the Egyptian Eyalet. The subsequent flag, Mohammed Ali, not the boxer, was 3 crescents each with 1 star and was used from 1881 until 1914, by the Khedivate, from 1914 until 1922 it was also used by the Sultanate of Egypt. After 1922 the green flag with 1 crescent and 1 star was used by the Kingdom of Egypt. There was no separate flag of Sudan until independence, from Egypt and Britain, in 1956.
