This mini series is based on a true story and might be difficult to watch for some. This series exposes the corrupt world of the NYPD and some of New Yorks politicians. It's a direct undermining of what the justice system stands for and how easily it can be manipulated and compromised. Although the series lacks any big name actors, the cast does a great job at carrying this story and delivering a chilling effect of the manipulation and miscarriage of the judicial system in New York. Truly a sad story with a bitter sweet ending.
This movie was not "horrible " per say- but it definitely wasn't good either! I found Pacino and DeNiro were both horrible in this film- I felt they both overplayed their roles. As a matter of fact, Trejo was probably the best actor in tis movie! And that's not saying much. The story was far fetched and very glamorous when it comes to bank robbers. Bank robbers dressed like businessmen all the while they know they're being closely watched by the police. This story drags on forever with tons of nonsense and pointless drama. The writer tries desperately to portray these thieves as geniuses, but they're everything but! This film was hyped, but fell very short of expectations for me.
This mini series is based on a true life story and is brought to life by s very good cast of actors. I first heard about this story in Docu series on Netflix that I watched. I was amazed and shocked at first watch- needless to say, when I heard about this mini series, I just had to watch it. It did not disappoint! It was good. The cast was fantastic and the series really pulls you into this families twisted world of no accountability, greed and entitlement, which eventually catches up to them and ends in the worst way possible. Some might even argue that they got what they deserved. For those of you that enjoy these types of real life stories, this is a must watch for you.
