No matter what you believe about this situation, the louder than life cry in this real life horror, is that these are ordinary people keeping sheep, chickens and valuing their belongings, trying to send their little children to a safe school and possibly grow an olive tree or two.
They live on some of the worst terrain on Earth and don't complain, they just want a home.
When oppressors fill a living water well in with concrete and defile every living beings right to water and Nature itself, when they bulldoze homes and deprive people of the right to peace, quiet and community, they are not 'following the law' as the soldiers like to cite, because this behaviour is totally unlawful. At every level. Morally, spirtually, physically and societally and legally.
And history shows that nothing stands still. There is always backlash. This oppression is not recent. History shows it to have been going on for about the past 70 years.
It's about annihilation by attrition. Which is equated with barbarism and deeply dark most base of all human behaviour. No matter which 'side' you believe in. This is not conscionable.
Not easy to watch as you sit helpless and wondering. What next?

From all the documentation I have ever read, Mary and Percy were devoted to one another and the reason for their success together was because they shared 'out of the box' ideologies, ideas, thoughts and life, in a fiercely loyal and similar coming together.
For about 1.5 hours of this 2 hour movie all we saw was people hating each other.
According to many who have researched the Shelley's there are serious breaches of truth in this movie, but why would I be surprised about that... Hollywood aborts, convolutes and pollutes most movies they make about historical people... is this some type of weird disease rife in Hwood pics?
What I despise about this type of liberty is that the public is left stupid about the realities of the actual, real people who are incorrectly depicted. And that is telling and unfair.
The acting was ok. Some of the characters were ok. It looked ok. The script was pure garbage.
I would venture, that Frankenstein's monster came from deep with Mary Shelley and how she never came to terms with the sense of abandonment, loss and terrible suffering associated with her mother.
That is the only thing in this movie that felt like it might have connected any dots.
I hated this movie. It was ok to watch but it left a bitter aftertaste in my mouth.
Mary's magnificent story has been destroyed countless times by being made stupidly and incorrectly by Hollywood over and again.
Read the book. It will be worth it if you have a thinking mind.
Three stars for the actors who tried so hard and did so well with such a mess.
