*Very small spoilers, but only discribing topics for people to know of which part of the movie i talk.*
So when I read the first news about the director problems and saw the trailers I really thought this one would be unwatchable bad, but after seeing the movie by myself I wouldn´t say it is that bad. Still not great, but way better than many people told me (often without seeing it).
So the first fear I had, when I saw the first trailer was the humor. The trailer teased us with the typical disney-like formula humor and I really thought this would be to much in this movie. The movie has of course many of these moments where it exactly has this kind of humor, but there are also moments were it is very serious and dramatic without this kind of fun. *Small Spoiler* The war scene at the beginning really catched me and I wish rogue one would have had more moments like these. This was one of these more dark and grown up scenes, which i really enjoyed. Also so fight on the train had those serious vibes. *Spoiler end.* Also Solo is technically very well made and good produced. The score differs much more when it comes to the theme of some characters and gives a new fresh feeling. This fresh feeling could kill the Star Wars feeling for some people and this is also what I noticed. All in all this Star Wars movie doesn´t feel so much like it is one. I think this could be the reason for the bad rating. The look of the movie reminded me in some cases a little bit of Mad Max. Not that clean like the real star wars look like. More dirty and fading. I am absolutly okey with that, because I like the way how they try to differ 'a star wars story' from the other movies and I like a more grown up narration, but many people will have a different opinion.
The actors made a good job in my opinion. Of course the mission to establish a second harrison ford is impossible. If you see Alden Ehrenreich´s interpretation of the young solo stand alone, than I think he made a good job, when you think about how impossible his mission was to satisfy all fans. The rest made a good job too, Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian was great and was fun to watch. For Star's lover, the movie may turn out to be 2 stars worse, due to the maybe lost star wars feelings, but even when this is the case we have a really entertaining well made action/adventure movie. So for people which are not that affected by Star Wars and just enjoy the movies like i do it is a 7 out of 10. It will not be the greatest of all time, but it has good moments which give hope for the future.

There are movies that are worth it to remember. A quiet place is definitely one of these movies. The most obvious reason is, that the bold approach to make a movie that does not contain any sound over longer passages. And when i say no sound, i mean absoloutely nothing apart from the sound of the wind. I really appreciated that experience. The consequence of this way of dealing with sound is sensitization of the ears. After an 'hour of silence' every small noise feels like danger and for yourself it becomes much more intense. So I think that this is the goal the filmmaker aimed for and it perfectly worked out for me. The Film score is great and reminds me of titles like 'Gravity', 'Arrivel' or 'Annihilation'. It is not intrusive, except for the scenes where it should be, because of the thrill.
The cinematography is great too. The camera work supports the oppressive feeling perfectly and gives us a good feeling for the lack of prospects due to many close-up attitudes. The Movie is shot on original Film and that gives him a great imperfect look. The Grain in connection with the colours of the movie gives the audience a good picture of the desolation.
The story is very interesting, also because the idea and the setting seem unused. Although the movie offered a lot of opportunities to disturb him by talking, the whole audience was quiet the whole movie. I think that's a good sign for a movie if it manages to grab the audience's attention throughout the whole movie. Of course there are a typical 'If that did not happen' moments in the movie, which may not be 100% traceable, but there are no unbearably stupid characters like in other horror movies. All actions and motives of the characters are consistent and dont feel like they try to challenge a specific event which is necessary for next step of the story. This is supported by the good actor performances.
So for me it was a great evening full of excitement and the best movie i saw 2018 so far (Closely followed by 'A beautiful day'). So for me it´s a 9 out of 10, because of the intense feelings this movie gave me.

Today I left the cinema with mixed feelings. When I saw the first trailer of this movie I was excited, because I like the urban fantasy setting of the Harry Potter universe. Unfortunately Fantastic Beasts couldn't convince me completely. One big positive factor of the movie is the cast. Eddie Redmayne acts great and incarnate perfectly Newt as a sympathetic protagonist. Also the rest of the cast is suitable and sympathetic. I want to emphasize Dan Fogler who plays his role glorious. The charm of the magic was again very well captured. The self-stirring spoon in the cocoa and the many other small details are very coherent and convey this typical Harry Potter Flair. Also very good is the sound (no I don't mean the music) of this movie. I think this is a big reason to watch this movie in theaters, because the sound mixing is great for the big screen (more for the big Hi Fi equipment). So watch this movie in theaters if you have the possibility, because technically it is solid. Some of the audience I watch with didn't like the CGI effects, but in my opinion it was good. Not great, just good and fitting. The narration in the whole movie was the big con for me. The movie has this inconsequent narration. The main problem is that the film tells the two action strings too parallel, so they won 't fix well. Through this, the film becomes too predictable and loses some of its strength. The beginning scene was misleadingly and out of the context, for people who won't read the book. Here, too much was done according to the typical Hollywood formula. The story is pushed too strongly in one direction and the narrative speed is a bit too leisurely for my taste. The whole film would have done 15 to 20 minutes less well. So I promised myself more and I missed something that makes this movie special. With this strong template in the back and the big cast I would have just expected a more rounded movie which sticks out of the mass. I give Fantastic Beasts 7/10, because it is an entertaining movie, with a strong cast, but the narration issues made it a typical Hollywood movie. Not great, not bad, just good. Watch it but don't expect something mind blowing.
