The plot of the story has been done elsewhere in countless shows. Variations actually go back decades. What was interesting in the episode was the peek into Bluebird's backstory. We get a little more of the damage she is dealing with. It was also enjoyable to she her take part in more of the action and display her personal courage. The songs Breathless and Five Walls were performed by Mel Jarnson (Nova) and Chantal Elyse (Sally Poole) and were far better than most pop tunes. What I could have done without was the silliness of the earworm discussions and the final karaoke sequence. Better than most Season 2 episodes.
Big fan of Walton Goggins and he's fine. Pleasantly surprised at how good the actors are playing his daughters. But the friends are awful, with the exception of Omar Benson Miller. Less cringe-worthy dialogue would help.
