Finally, the time has come for the black version of "yuppie" society to rise in the grand scale of television. For years we have been yearning for a fresh take on the black experience and Lena Waithe and her team at BET delivered just that. This show is funny, smart, sophisticated, but more importantly self-aware. The characters reflect the young professional experience with wit and style, I would 100-percent recommend this series to anyone who likes the comedic stylings of our generations genius such as Issa Rae (Insecure) or Donald Glover (Atlanta).
I've watched the pilot and it definitely isn't OG Charmed, but I does a great deal to establish itself as an entity of its own. The comedic humor was pretty cool, and the storyline was very current. I think the best thing this series can do is to just feel itself out, which will come in due time.
