  • Very well thought out satire that's very under appreciated.

I get that people were expecting a more Simpsons and Family Guy type comedy adult animation, but this show isn't that kind of comedy, which is good. Though the humor is there, Captain Fall relies more on storytelling, situational humor, and character analysis than other shows.

Jonathan Fall unwittingly operating a smuggling ship masquerading as a cruise line while slowly growing confidence while realizing something isn't right. The cutthroat smugglers who are his crew becoming introspective in their actions while feeling sorry for their captain. Those dynamics and narrations make the show good.

  • Negative Reviews for Zero Reasons.

While this show isn't for everyone, it doesn't deserve o much hate, especially with the last few episodes as its saving grace. The show isn't meant to be some "sophisticated" overly-complex adult animation like Bojack Horseman, but a played-for-laughs that's meant to turn your brain off and enjoy, riddled with raunchy and disgusting humor akin to South Park but with the same formula as Brickelberry and Paradise PD with a dark He-Man/Flash Gordon twist. However, since the show makes fun of both left and right arguments, i.e. Abortion, illegal immigration, gun control, crime, censorship, media, etc., it seems there are more people with political agendas review bombing for the sake of it, and for pedantic reasons (just like with the new seasons of South Park and the Beavis and Butthead movie). The same applies to the people who don't like rude and crude humor as well, which obviously shows these reviewers have never seen their other works. So, for all the fans of shows like this one, I hope you enjoy it.

  • A very decent family dramedy with a superhero twist.

The movie takes place in an alternate 1960s-1970s where a family of superheroes exist and a brilliant scientist/entrepreneur creates the source of their powers known as "Titan badges." However, after a massive falling out with one of their members Vesta running away, the Hyperions try to move on. One day, former Hyperions Vista and her adopted brother Ansel are now robbing their family museum to steal the Titan badges from their display case, triggering a chain that drives the plot.

The movie is well-made with a story plot reminiscent of silver age comic books and acts as a somewhat lighter take on the Umbrella Academy. Jon McDonald casts talented actors and directed the film pretty well, though with some hiccups but no movie is perfect. While it is definitely a superhero movie, the film mostly focuses on the intricate themes of family, abandonment, pride, love, loss, and personal responsibility. All the while, as you question why Vista and Ansel are robbing the museum and think it's a petty stunt to get back into the limelight, you are revealed that there is a real villain pulling the strings and it's someone you least expect. However, despite some fight scenes here and there, the movie doesn't have a lot of actions. Nonetheless, it is a pretty decent family dramedy film with a superhero twist.

Also, while I get this isn't everyone's cup of tea, let me tell you that most of these negative reviews are from people who are either use to the Marvel/DC cinemas with a lot of gritty action and dark tones, or from liberal progressives who despise the Daily Wire (a conservative media outlet) and have an agenda to demonize the film just to deter people from watching it.
