Sex and the City was an iconic series that launched careers and made New York City into an actual character. It was one of the first times an actress was made into a producer who had a voice in things. It spawned two follow up movies that weren't great but die hard fans still paid money to watch. The mistake was letting SJP think that she was the lead in the series because let's be real the show wouldn't be the same without ALL FOUR OF THEM especially KC.
SATC 2 wasn't necessary but it still ended with everything wrapped up nicely in a bow with no reason whatsoever for anything more to be told. And Just Like That was a cash grab for three egotistical actresses and a has been writer. It completely ruined the already established characters that the fandom knew and loved and turned them into bumbling idiots who know nothing about technology or current events. It made a mockery out of two relationships that took so long to finally get their happy ever after. Then after spending twenty years together in the end it all meant nothing.
This series was a slap in the face to fans and HBO was completely justified in canceling it before it got any worse if that's even possible. SJP, Cynthia Nixon, Kristen Davis, and MPK really need to get their heads out of their a**es. Kim was so smart not to be involved in this dumpster fire.
