It seems the piece of a puzzle. Out of it , it has less sense. Indeed, a political film . This is so obvious than , at the first sight, nothing more matters. But Sylvester Stallone offers what he knows to do, the lines of Richard Crenna are awfull , like in the previews parts , same image of helicopter and , in good measure, all more than familiar.
For admirers, a real Rambo, I suppose . For me, as history teacher, film of two lines about our Vietnam and yours Afganistan - sure , with pretty contemporary meanings.

More than fair to admitt than the basic motif to see this film were Eric Close and Kate Drummond. Like the reserves about Madeleine Arthur as Celeste Arthur. But the recipe is so familiar than the source of seduction, like very often, are the supporting actors and, near Drummond and Close, the contribution of Rosie Simon and Reid Prince is significant, not ignoring lovely work of Nora Sheehan.
I admitt, I hoped, almost intense, than the prince of Clemence be Dean. But the life, incluing this film, is not exactly a...fairy tale.

Ten days of total silent retreat. Buddhist camp or Buddhist inspiration. Only young men- except the monk guru.
The event from the perspective of one of members. And the passing days- from meditation to food and water and the example of one of them to swim. The final, in which every character seems enveiled in cartood drawing is just smart detail. Some melancholia, good portrait of a side of manhood.
