  • A masterful tale of love and time

Karim Shaaban's 6 Days is a beautifully crafted emotional journey that lingers long after the credits roll. The film's premise-two lovers meeting on the same day across six years-could have felt repetitive, but Shaaban's direction turns it into a poetic meditation on love, change, and the passage of time. His ability to capture the subtleties of human connection through intimate framing and nostalgic hues is remarkable, making every encounter between Youssef and Alia feel raw and real.

Ahmad Malek delivers one of his finest performances, portraying Youssef's evolution with incredible depth. His transition from a hopeful romantic to a man wrestling with memories and missed chances is heartbreakingly authentic. Aya Samaha is equally mesmerizing, balancing Alia's resilience with an underlying vulnerability that makes her character feel incredibly real. Their chemistry is undeniable, filling the screen with moments of warmth, tension, and unspoken longing.

What makes 6 Days truly special is its ability to evoke nostalgia-not just for lost love, but for the versions of ourselves we leave behind. Shaaban directs with a delicate yet assured hand, using silence as powerfully as dialogue, and every shot feels intentional. The film doesn't just tell a story; it makes you feel it.

A must-watch for anyone who has ever wondered about the road not taken.

  • First class comedy

Another stunning performance from the amazing duet, Mamdouh & Amina. And let's not forget Hisham sense of humor.

I literally LOLed by the funny lines during the whole film.

But I only have one comment or criticism to Motaz "the director", Motaz really needs to scale up his game and level up his overall performance and focus more on directing rather than dropping "Effihat" all long.

Egypt cinema really needs a new way to introduce to its audience, whether it's comedy or anything else.

We need to focus more on individual performances, and much more on the details, to be able to compete with international cinema.

  • Bad acting and SUPER BAD directing

The Assassins presents a captivating premise with its intriguing storyline, but unfortunately, the execution falls short of its potential. Despite the promising narrative, the direction and acting severely undermine the overall quality of the show, resulting in a disappointing viewing experience.

From the onset, the audience is drawn into a world filled with possibility, where the complexities of human emotions and relationships are explored against the backdrop of an engaging plot. However, as the story unfolds, it becomes apparent that the direction lacks coherence and fails to effectively translate the essence of the script onto the screen.

Furthermore, the performances by the cast fail to elevate the material, with stilted delivery and lackluster portrayals hindering the audience's ability to connect with the characters on a meaningful level. Moments that should evoke empathy or tension instead fall flat, robbing the narrative of its intended impact.
