GBSM. Story of a Alzheimer's oldie who goes missing.
Its natural to want to forget a bad experience/memory. Specially so if the source is your near-n-dear. Frequent such episodes might make the old peoples's delicate minds to fake forgetfulness, assuming that they have forgotten and finally rejecting reality in a bid to continue living in their heydays. Maybe the source of the forgetfulness is really in the want to forget the pain.
Stellar acting by Anant Nag. Superbly supported by the rest of the crew. Everyone has done what the story demands. Not too conscious about the star-image, Rakshit has donned a speckie-techie look. Superb background score. The direction cinematography and the peppered in VFX make it a visual treat as well. Bengaluru looks amazing in their eyes. The drunk hero left in the company of only his shadow, a son who doesn't seem to miss his father even while pasting the missing poster, these are some brilliant bits of direction, hordes or others to be seen throughout. A very well made movie that shouldn't be missed!
Some questions seeded in my mind by the movie ... - Shouldn't we be treating our parents different to how we treat a hostel warden or a lodge manager? - How right is it to assume that your parents' lives was "ordinary and boring"? Instead of the "safe ground" topics like cricket, politics or weather shouldn't we be make an attempt to hear their real story? Uncensored maybe :P - Some of their idiosyncrasies might seem irritating to us. Does it have some meaning or cause from their perspective? Their "laughter clubs" in the morning which seem like a joke to us. That may be the only time when they could laugh heartily for some. - We blame our packed schedules and busy lifestyle for ignoring them. Didn't they have similar issues when raising us? - Do we need to wait for a suitable time or a misfortune to hit us before expressing our love and appreciation for a dear person?
Definitely not! Those who have them please go and let them know your feelings, on phone is also OK if they are far away. Unfortunate ones who have lost them, do a couple of good deeds in their memory today. If not by them we have this birth and life through them. Lets treat them well. Not judging that all parents are ill treated or all children are bad, but let this movie serve as a warning bell to make us all think about them.

One intriguing story itself is a rarity these days. Here we have three stories intertwined delicately in one delectable combo. With a wonderful story as the spine, the movie has some impeccable technical work. Amazing direction, crisp editing, music, songs and BGM helps the flow. Camera work is true in capturing the natural beauty of the ghats and accentuating it in places. The underwater fight scene, wow! Slick editing and mixing, the dairy script as the border of the flashback scenes are a nice touch. Very good (sometimes mature) acting by the debutant(e)s. The girls are not just oomph and acting scared, but adding value to every scene. Could have chosen more local actors like the adorable driver Rapeeqk :) for the teacher and postmaster roles. Their accents are a bit out of place. What happens to the murders might be one open question? Chance for a sequel? We would love to wait!
