Biggest con:
The 3D animation of the monsters doesn't fit the style and looks sometimes so old it wouldn't even be from this decade. I also hated the 3 other 3D animated Netflix Godzilla adaptations.
2nd biggest con: Each time there is something serious happening in the moment it get played over with some comedical joke seemingly addressing a childern audience. As the show already has a long build up to the disaster it wants to conclude it just gets stupid comedical in between with even strechting the build up which doesn't help.
The show somehow wants to address a wide audiance but I think it should have been just the target group of adults to have the possibility to display certain situations more serious, it would have made it more tense.
The lore in this show is not canon. It's an alternate story trying to bounce of some of the newest Shin Gojira Movie from 2016. It even has some scenes in it (of course in animated form) and from the Hollywood Film Godzilla King of Monsters. They are very short and have no impact on the show.
Overall the story is tryed to explained with techy buzzwords which get used over and over again. The build up is boring and the conclusion is not orignal and played out unemotionally.
Did they really need to visit so many places?
Why no love story between the main characters? It would have been possible but it just seems they are emotionless?
Pros: The 2D animation is on point. There are some physical interactions made right so no lore holes about that.
German Synchro is fine, I whished for an older voice actor for the voice of the "robot".

This is a decent anime movie for young and old. Based on some ideas of the 2 video Games "Nino Kuni". Although with some tweaks it could have a lower age rating and could have been enjoyed by even younger audiance aswell. But there is some war and blood so the 12 rating is understandable.
Story and Characters As I didn't play the 2 Video Games I can't tell if it's something from the games. The Story feels standalone but based on some ideas from the Nino Kuni Video Games. Love, Magic, Fantasy; although that most things aren't really explained it feels structurated like a game. Bit by bit you learn more about the world after the characters did something. But other then in a game you can't question more you are stuck by the "main story" which somewhat annoyed me from time to time. You get confronted with many questions about things you want to explore but can't as it's a movie and you have to follow with the story. The given plot twists are well done and understandable. Some you can forsee a little but nothing bad spoilers by the movie itself. The happy end of the movie ist enjoyable and doesn't leave one wondering why. It's a good end without a cliffhanger or anything.
Animation Effects, Characters, Backgrounds and all is pretty good. An up to date look which is fitting with the video games.
Music The music pieces are mostly matching scenes but I'm missing Ghibli feeling here (Joe Hisaishi) it is not the best of the best and I after watching it once can't really remember any song of the movie.

It's a weird combination somehow. I whished that the politics and intrigues are a little more focused, it feelt also hestiant on the actions (maybe more murder and less coruption on doctors?) instead of all the love story which starts later in the episodes.
It's aswell to much back and forth with the information giving on the triangle relationship. It may looked good on paper but it doesn't play out that well for me as a video series.
The german synchro is good.
