While I don't share the background of many of the reviewers (and characters), being basically a non-religious, older American woman, I love this show! It's funny, clever and compassionate, showing some of the experiences of non-Christian, non-white immigrant families in America. I was also struck with how a lot of experiences are simply human, as opposed to "Muslim", "young", "male", etc. We ALL want to be accepted for who we are; we all want to give and receive love; we all want things to believe in, regardless of color, race, religion, age and so on. This show does a lovely, subtle job of showing that without being in-your-face confrontational. Particularly loved episode 7. Well done
