The first episode is really impressive, the satire and movie references are good throughout but some of the episodes are just way too chaotic and shouty and others downright painful to watch. Others have compared the series to Curb but it just hasn't got that nonchalant class and is nowhere as wry or sharp witted. The final two episodes CinemaCon are an absolute shambolic noisy mess that you can't wait to be over.

Seasons 1 and 2 of AP Bio are really funny, sharp and quite a joy to watch. Season 3 however is an absolute car crash and I'm not quite sure how it managed to go so badly wrong, it's painful but you keep watching to see if there's improvement but it's dead on its feet. Season 4 starts just as poorly and I got no further than Episode 2. It needs to be killed off, what a waste.

Yes the originals are flawless and I know other reviewers are questioning the point of this remake, but it's a really sweet and cute adaption in my opinion (and I'm old enough to remember the original stories!) with a good voice cast that will bring these enjoyable tales to a new audience. The Moomins are classics and surely new eyes and ears to their antics can't be a bad thing.
