I know how it sounds, but when you put aside the bad acting, lighting, and directing, there's a good script underneath. It's not the most original, but it has the twists and turns necessary to keep one's attention, and I honestly couldn't say how it didn't get a bigger budget. While all of the 10 out of 10 reviews are likely friends of the people involved in making the movie, I don't think it deserves all of the one of 10 reviews either.
This movie has the runtime of a 30 minute show with the commercials taken out. The story is simple and the film is dragged out by nothing worth watching. It's held together by garbage that filmophiles will refer to as art or great film-making, when it's really footage of someone recording people working in a cramped kitchen or some guy delivering food.
We're given a plot, then it's put on hold while absolutely nothing happens besides a two minute conversation for character development that will have no impact because of how pointless the rest of the movie is.
This is the kind of movie that gets my goat because it's so highly rated, but I can only imagine it is so because the critics got to it first and used certain words that made the viewers who saw it think they needed to like it to be true cinephiles.

I liked the idea of this documentary enough that I was going to give it a shot. While I'm not pro-DEI to the extreme that this documentary demonstrated, I do have an understanding of systemic racism. The way Walsh minimizes racism was my first issue.
Even putting that to the side and watching it for its pure entertainment value, while it started out OK, every scene that this guy put himself in got less funny. He's not good at ad libbing. From being in situations where he should be prepared to being on TV interviews, he showed repeatedly that he can't manage a situation.
He didn't show any capacity to play the person. He was speaking with to get a reaction or a statement. Toward the end, he has some sort of class that he's instructing, and it is long and boring. That he couldn't manage to make that class entertaining for an audience was baffling.
There is no entertainment value to be found in this movie. If there is a political leaning you have and you like this guy for some reason, I guess you'll wanna watch it. Maybe you'll like it for that purpose. But if you want to be entertained, You won't find that here.
