The Old Guard 2

  • Disappointment

The Old Guard 2 is a huge letdown. What a waste of time-cold, pointless, and lacking the heart that made the first one so good. I really enjoyed the original and had high hopes for this sequel, but it falls flat in every way. The plot goes nowhere, the characters feel empty, and the ending is just plain disappointing. If you liked the first film, prepare to be let down. This sequel does not do the story justice and is best skipped. It feels rushed and uninspired, missing the spark and depth that made the first film so engaging.

My personal advice is to not waste your time on this, unless if you want to.

  • Waste of time

" Khorfakan" is a painfully poor production that feels like a desperate attempt to fabricate a historical legacy for the UAE. The acting is laughable, lacking depth or authenticity, and the overall execution fails to offer any credibility. It comes off more like an unintentional comedy than a serious historical film. Don't waste your time-there's nothing to gain from watching this awkward cinematic misstep. Even the cinematography and dialogue feel forced and artificial, making it hard to stay engaged. Rather than inspiring pride or emotion, it evokes discomfort and secondhand embarrassment. A missed opportunity on every level.

  • Not worth your time

A Working Man tries to explore the quiet struggles of everyday laborers, but ultimately gets lost in its own monotony. The story, while thematically rich on paper, quickly becomes repetitive and directionless. Scenes blur together with little development, making it feel more like a drawn-out short film than a full-length feature.

The dialogue is one of the weakest aspects. It often feels flat and unnatural, lacking the emotional weight or authenticity needed to bring the characters to life. Instead of enhancing the narrative, the lines drag it down and make even the more dramatic moments feel hollow.

Unfortunately, the acting doesn't do much to compensate. Performances are wooden across the board, with key emotional beats either overacted or underplayed. The lead, while clearly earnest, doesn't have the presence to carry the film through its slower moments.

Overall, A Working Man has a potentially powerful message buried beneath its surface, but poor execution-repetitive storytelling, weak dialogue, and lackluster acting-keeps it from resonating.
