I Like the book, like the 80s film, like this 2025 version of the film. Fun and action packed simple as that. I love Edgar Wright he is a great talent. Not sure what people are expecting. It's a straight forward story which I appreciate as most movies now are weird and make no sense and usually have terrible endings. Good guys, bad guys a start a middle and an ending, that's what I want. Thank you! This is very different from the 80s film, however I enjoy and appreciate both. Richards lives.
Good acting and what looked like it would be a good dramatic story however it was way too slow for me. I would have preferred to have seen more of what went on inside the laundry and afterwards too.
Very slow. Sad story though. Could have had a bit more going on. Seemed to be a lot of time filler. I haven't read the book but it's likely much better as a book as you would get the feelings of the character- which would be good reading but not always so great on screen. I kept wanting to see more exposure of the horror happening there.
I still love Cillian Murphy and his and Emily's acting was great as usual.

I was patiently waiting for something, anything to happen. It just didn't come I was expecting a twist but the twist (if you can call it that) wasn't very eventful. Not scary at all for me.
I can do a slow build up, but just 100% slow with no pay off for sitting through the whole film!
Seen similar done much better.
The only thing I like about it is that Mike Flanagan took the idea for The Haunting of Hill House and improved on it and made it much better and actually scary!
Sorry if you liked this, we all like different things and this just didn't do it for me at all.
I can't believe this made the list of scary moments lol.
